No weight allowance will be given for the first day of competition. Wrestlers are given two (2) consecutive attempts to make weight. Upon entry to the weigh-in area, wrestlers may not leave until their attempt(s) have been made. Each participant shall be named to their respective weight class at the time of weigh-ins.
Day before weigh-ins If all teams are in agreement, a regional may require weigh-ins the day before the regional tournament. This will be determined by a vote of all participating teams. The purpose of this procedure is to eliminate repairing the brackets when seeding is held before weigh-ins. With the above procedure, the seeding meeting would be held after the weigh-ins.
Note: Under no circumstances may weigh-ins occur more than one day prior to the regional tournament.
