Dual Meet State Championships Information - 2010

Entry Fee $100, by vote of the IKWF Board the postmark deadline to enter the 2010 Dual Meet State Series has been extended to December 31, 2009.
State Tournament Date/Location Date - January 31, 2010
Location - Willowbrook High School, Villa Park
Team Eligibility Any member team that has met all registration requirements and deadlines.
Combined teams are not allowed.
Wrestler Eligibility Must be a resident of Illinois, a member of a team competing in the Dual Meet State Series, and meet the age requirements as defined by the IKWF Senior and Novice Divisions.  Wrestlers 8th grade and younger plus born 9/1/94 through 12/31/99.
Rosters Rosters may include up to thirty (30) wrestlers and two (2) coaches.
Divisional tournament rosters are due at the seeding meeting.
Dual Meet State Championship rosters are due in the IKWF office one week prior to the start of competition of the Dual Meet State Championships.  No changes may be made to the Dual Meet State Championship roster after being submitted.
Divisional tournament roster and Dual Meet State Championship roster need not be the same.
Weight Classes (19) 66*, 70, 74, 79, 84, 89, 95, 101, 108, 115, 122, 130, 138, 147, 156, 166, 177, 189, 275**
*The minimum weight for the 66 lbs. weight class is 57 lbs.
**The minimum weight for the 275 lbs. weight class is 188 lbs.
Qualifying All divisional competition must be wrestled and completed one week prior to the Dual Meet State Championships.  If a team enters the Dual Meet State Series and does not wrestle in any competitions (divisional or state championship), they forfeit any subsequent participation in the Dual Meet State Series.
Divisionals Two sectionals make up the one divisional.
Southern Divisional - Central and South Sectionals
Northwestern Divisional - North and West Sectionals
Eastern Divisional - Central Chicago and South Chicago Sectionals
Central Divisional - North Chicago and West Chicago Sectionals

State Tournament Qualifiers 3 teams from each divisional qualify for the Dual Meet State Championships.  The fourth place team is the first alternate and the fifth place place team is the second alternate.
State Tournament Alternates In the event there are lack of entries from the divisional competition to the Dual Meet State Championships, the following rotation will be used to fill the 2010 Dual Meet State Championship bracket:

State tournament pairings are drawn at the Kids Open executive board meeting and placed in a sealed envelope.  Pairings are revealed after the conclusion of all divisional competition and will be available on this website.
