Coach's Information - 2010

  1. Only wrestlers accompanied by two coaches with a floor pass are allowed in the staging area and on the competition floor when they are called for their weight class.

  2. Any wrestler or coach found loitering on the competition floor will result in an unsportsmanlike conduct against the team and one team point will be deducted from the team's Novice and Senior division team scores.

  3. Absolutely no photography or videotaping is allowed on the competition floor by parents, fans, or spectators.

  4. The head coach of each club with state qualifiers is responsible for picking up the club packet either Thursday evening or Friday morning during weigh-ins.

  5. If the head coach is unable to pick up the packet, then he/she must designate and individual who has the authority to receive the packet.

  6. Clubs should email kcusick@ikwf.org to make their designation.
    Please provide the following information:
    1) Who is picking up the packet.
    2) How many additional passes you will purchase (see #12 below).
    3) Who, from your club, will be issued a coach's floor pass.

  7. ONLY THE HEAD COACH OR DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVE CAN DESIGNATE WHO SHOULD RECEIVE A COACH'S PASS TO OBTAIN ACCESS TO THE COMPETITION FLOOR.

  8. All coaches must display their USAW coach's card between their neck and waist for the duration of the tournament.

  9. If a coach has lost or misplaced their coaches card, a replacement card must be purchased. There is a $40 replacement fee. Replacement cards will be available at the State Tournament.

  10. New coach's membership cards are not available at the State Tournament.

  11. A COPY OF YOUR CLUB ROSTER WILL NOT SUFFICE TO RECEIVE ACCESS TO THE COMPETITION FLOOR, YOU MUST HAVE YOUR USAW COACH'S CARD OR YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A FLOOR PASS.

  12. Coaches Floor Passes
    The number of floor passes each team receives is based on the number of qualifiers your team has in the state tournament. Each club with qualifying wrestlers receives a set number of free passes and has the option to purchase additional floor passes equal to the number of free passes your team will receive. The number of free passes your club will receive:
    -7 or less qualifiers = 2 free passes
    -8 to 12 qualifiers = 3 free passes
    -13 to 17 qualifiers = 4 free passes
    -18 to 22 qualifiers = 5 free passes
    -23 or more qualifiers = 6 free passes

  13. If your club has 4 state qualifiers, you will receive 2 free passes and the option to purchase an additional 2 passes.

  14. Additional coach's floor passes are $20 each.

  15. Coaches we ask for your assistance and make sure your wrestlers are supervised at all times while at the MetroCentre and at the hotels. Any wrestlers, coaches, or teams involved in any type of unsportsmanlike conduct during the event will be removed from the tournament.
